COMMON QUESTIONS
Do I need special phones or hardware?
No. You can use any SIP-compatible desk phone, a softphone app on your computer, or our mobile app on your cell. If you want desk phones, we can recommend and configure them for you, but they're not required.
Can I keep my current business phone number?
Yes. We port your existing numbers over from your current provider. The process usually takes 1-2 weeks depending on your carrier. Your number keeps working the entire time with zero downtime during the switch.
What about call quality? Is VoIP reliable?
With a decent internet connection, VoIP call quality is indistinguishable from a landline. We use HD voice codecs and our servers are hosted on the same infrastructure we use for web hosting. 99.9% uptime SLA applies to phone service too.
How many lines can I have?
As many as you need. Start with 2, grow to 200. Adding a new extension takes about 5 minutes. No new hardware, no technician visit, no contract amendment.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Month-to-month. Cancel anytime. We don't lock you in because we'd rather keep you by being good at what we do.
Can I set up call routing and business hours?
Absolutely. Route calls by time of day, day of week, or caller ID. Send after-hours calls straight to voicemail or forward to a cell. Ring groups let multiple phones ring at once so someone always picks up.
